Hi!!! We're the Disgustington's!

Ava has a weird fascination of sticking her fingers and hands into everything that she shouldn't. I can understand food. They're kids; they're curious; it's messy and annoying, but I can deal with that. But Ava for some reason sticks her hands into EVERYTHING!!! Then something happened last night that made me wonder, "Did she actually just do that?!"

The kids have been potty training and doing exceptionally well. Well enough that they don't even wear diapers OR pull-ups to bed. They sleep in their underwear and have an occasional accident. I can deal with that, if it means I don't have to spend $80 a month on diapers for them. Ava for some reason has this urge, that whenever she wipes, she tries to stick her hand / fingers as far down as she can before we catch her and yell at her, "Don't touch your pee, that's gross!" Well....she took it a bit farther last night.....

I got home from work early, Heather wasn't feeling well, and was laying down. Madi was in her Jolly Jumper, and Caleb was running around in his new helmet (I think he wears it all the time, for the "just-in-case" moments when he just randomly falls and smacks his head/face on the floor). So Ava tells me that she has to go to use the potty...Yay Ava...good girl for telling daddy you have to go pee...come-on lets go use the potty. She pees...YAY!! I give her some toilet paper to wipe. She wipes. I turn around to take off my belt and get ready to change out of my work clothes......I turn back around 3.61 SECONDS later.........

She has the lemonade colored toilet paper up to her mouth, and is patter her lips with it!! WTF?!?!

"AVA!!!! THAT IS DISGUSTING! THAT IS BOLD! HOW MANY TIME DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU....DON'T TOUCH YOUR PEE!!! YOU DON'T DO THAT!! YOU'LL GET SICK!!!!" I promptly take her off the toilet over to the sink and immediately start rinsing her face/hands/mouth (when I say "rinse" I mean, taking large hand fulls of water and splash her from head to toe, to make sure she has no more URINE on her!).

She initially is shocked that I splash her in the face with the water, then, when she realizes what is happening, she looks at me and laughs!! "THIS IS NOT FUNNY!!! IF YOU EAT YOUR PEE....YOU WILL GET SICK!! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME?!?!?!"

Ava looks up "understand?"

"Ava, do not do that again, do you hear me?"

"Yes"

Holy crap, what the hell do I do in that situation?! I was of course furious at first. Then as the night went on, I realized how frigging funny this was.

Disgusting....but funny
