Caleb's Home!
Caleb went in for his surgery to have his tonsils and adenoids removed Thursday morning, and he came home late Friday morning. He is doing well and was all ready up and playing. He was so brave and we are so proud of our little man.
When we arrived at the hospital they gave him a little stuffed turtle to take with him into the OR, when he woke up in recovery he saw us and the first thing he said was "where's my turtle?" We couldn't stop laughing. He couldn't keep anything down all day Thursday, so we had to stay overnight. He woke up this morning and said, "I want ice cream." I said "okay, I have to go find a nurse and she will get you some." I went to use the bathroom and this is what I heard "Where's my ice cream?" A nurse had come in, so he took it upon himself to ask for some ice cream. He ate two cups for breakfast! What a lucky boy!
He has been going on the potty for a little over a week now, but we thought it was best to put him in pull ups for the surgery and figured we would have to refresh him with the potty training when we got home. A few hours after surgery, he wanted to use the potty! He was hooked up to IV so he was unable to reach the potty. He ended up going in his pants and was not happy. We ended up bringing the travel potty in and he went a few times! We figured he would not want to get out of bed after having surgery but he did and has been going regularly on it since this morning. What a good boy we have!

No More Diapers!!!
Ava and Caleb are using the potty! Ava has been without diapers for a week now and Caleb will be a week Tuesday! We can not believe how quickly they learned and how well they are doing. Caleb wasn't interested last weekend but Ava took right to it. Once Caleb realized that Ava got an M&M for going on the potty, he wanted to try too. He wore underwear all day Monday but never made it to the potty, so no M&M's,but he was determined, he woke up Tuesday asking to put on his big boy underwear and wouldn't move off the potty until he went. 10 minutes later and he FINALLY went, and got his M&M's. All it took was one time and he's got it down! We can not believe how big they are getting!
